Olvi AI is designed as an AI assistant that manages your tasks, reminders, and notes, including text, voice recordings, images, documents, and web links, and files them into folders for you. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of your personal information when you use our mobile application and web services.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary to provide, maintain, and enhance the Olvi AI assistant experience:
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and hashed authentication credentials.
- User-Generated Content: Notes, text snippets, voice recordings, photos/images, web URLs, documents, tasks, and alarms/reminders you choose to save.
- Audio & Transcription Data: When you record a voice note or voice message in AI chat, audio files are processed to generate text transcriptions.
- Visual & OCR Data: When you attach photos or screenshots, image data is processed to recognize text (OCR), subjects, and context.
- Device & Usage Information: Device model, operating system version, crash diagnostics, and anonymous API usage metrics (token counts, audio duration) used to monitor service health and quota enforcement.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:
- Core Service Delivery: Storing and organizing your tasks, reminders, and notes into folders.
- AI Synthesis & Insights: Extracting concise summaries, action items, key topics, and semantic tags from your content using state-of-the-art AI models.
- AI Assistant Chat: Enabling you to converse with, search, and manage your tasks, reminders, and notes through natural language.
- Web Extraction & Research: Fetching clean article content and documentation when you save web links.
- Security & Access Control: Authenticating your sessions and enforcing optional local 4-digit PIN lock for private notes.
3. AI Processors & Third-Party Services
To provide advanced multimodal AI capabilities, speech recognition, and cloud infrastructure, Olvi AI securely interfaces with trusted service providers under strict data privacy terms:
AI language provider
Used for the assistant conversation, choosing a folder for new items, writing summaries you ask for, and multimodal vision analysis. Your data is not used to train foundation models.
Speech recognition provider
Used for high-accuracy speech-to-text audio transcription. Audio streams are processed securely over encrypted channels.
Parallel Web Systems
Used for extracting clean web article content and real-time web research when you bookmark URLs or ask the AI to search the web.
Cloudflare R2 & MongoDB Atlas
Industry-standard encrypted object storage and database clusters with SOC 2 compliance for safe storage of user media and records.
We DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.
4. Data Protection & Security
We implement comprehensive technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data:
- Encryption in Transit: All communications between your mobile device, our backend, and third-party APIs are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS).
- Encryption at Rest: Cloud databases and object storage buckets are encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
- Local PIN Security: Users can configure a custom 4-digit PIN in the app to conceal sensitive notes from the notes list, search, and AI chat.
- Scoped Access: Strict multi-tenant isolation ensures each user can only query and retrieve their own data and chats.
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion (Google Play Compliance)
We retain your data only for as long as your account remains active. You maintain full ownership and control over your personal data at all times:
You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time through either of the following methods:
- In the Olvi AI Mobile App: Go to Profile → Account → Delete Account. Confirm the prompt to immediately wipe all data.
- Online Deletion Request Page: Visit our official web deletion resource at olviai.app/delete-account to request or execute deletion.
- Direct Email Request: Email support@olviai.app from your registered email address.
Upon deletion, all your notes, tasks, folders, voice recordings, images, AI chats, reminders, usage history, and authentication records are permanently erased immediately with zero retention.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have specific privacy rights under applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR in Europe or CCPA/CPRA in California):
- Right to Access: The right to request copies of your stored personal data.
- Right to Rectification: The right to edit and update any inaccurate information.

Olvi AI is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently gathered personal data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete such information.
